WHO ARE WE?

aboutWe are a lively, informal church made up of people from all walks of life, backgrounds and cultures. We enjoy being a diverse community all sharing in a common goal of making God visible wherever we go.

Please come and join us and find out more at one of our meetings – everyone is welcome.

We hope to see you soon.

Paul Pickhaver, Team Leader

Our vision is “Making God Visible” and we believe that:

  • Jesus is our centre
  • Love is our goal and motivation
  • The Holy Spirit is our chief resource
  • Prayer is our key
  • The Bible is our inspiration
  • Mission is our expression

The Community Church is a Pioneer church and is part of ‘Churches Together in Surbiton’ (CTS), ‘Churches in Chessington and Hook Acting Together’ (CHAT) and is a member of the Evangelical Alliance.

What can I expect at a Sunday meeting?

You can expect a warm welcome, lively worship led by our band, a relevant talk and a friendly bunch of people gathering to learn more about God and his love for us. Also tea, coffee and biscuits!

What about children/youth groups?

Children and young people stay in the meeting with us for the worship, before leaving for their own groups. Children can expect to have fun playing games, and learning about God in a relevant way.

Do you welcome students?

Of course we do. We’re a Fusion Connection Church and we’re committed to helping, guiding and equipping students while they’re studying nearby. We also love to offer a good Sunday roast, so come along and we’ll point you in the right direction!

Is there a dress code?

No, our meetings are informal so come as you are!

Do you meet during the week?

Yes, everyone is encouraged to meet as part of a life group and the dates and times vary. Groups meet in the church office and at people’s homes to share food, pray, take communion, study the Bible and encourage each other in faith.
