Community
Making God visible in the wider community

community

noun.

A group of people living in the same place or having a particular characteristic in common.

The community is at the heart of what we do; it's at the centre of our name as a church! We want to have a positive influence on the communities in which we live and work so as well as offering prayerful and practical support to individuals, charities, churches and businesses, we strive to bless the local area by putting on quality courses and events either free or at a low cost.

As a church and as individual Christians, we seek to make God visible wherever we go and whatever we do. We want to demonstrate God's love to those around us in a variety of ways and we love to join with those who do too.

The Community Church is a registered 'Caring For Ex-Offenders' church. CFEO work to reintegrate ex-offenders into society through local churches, supporting and equipping them to help ex-offenders live transformed lives. "Love the Lord with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength." The second is this: "Love your neighbour as yourself." There is no commandment greater than these."

Mark 12:30-31 (NIV)
