New Generation International
The Community Church has had strong links with churches and individuals in Romania since 1990. Currently, we support the registered charity New Generation International (NGI) with their Christian youth and community work in Campina, Romania and nearby areas. This work is co-ordinated by Iulian Ceptureanu who with his family, is now a member of our church but continues to make frequent mission trips to Romania. NGI’s main aim is to bring young people into a living relationship with Jesus Christ. As well as regular youth programmes combining fun activities with Christian teaching, NGI supports young people and their families who are struggling financially, in practical ways. Two highlights of the year are the NGI summer and winter youth camps held in Romania each year, where many Romanian young people meet Jesus for the first time. The 2014 NGI summer camp will be held at the end of July in SInaia Romania. Please contact Iulian (details below) if would like to join us for the camp and summer mission.

The Community Church also reaches out to Romanian people living in our area. We have a small group, held bilingually in Romanian and English, who prays for Romania and holds fundraising activities for NGI’s work as well as supporting the group members.
Starting in April 2014 there will be two Romanian congregations linked to The Community Church. One will be held at The Community Church at 10.30 am on the first and third Sundays of each month. The other will be held at New Malden Baptist Church, Kingston Road, New Malden at 4pm on the second and fourth Sundays of each month.
